Classic Motorbike Restoration Is Our Business
Classic Motorbikes have always been our passion. Beginning with stripped down mopeds we would tear across open fields until we fell off, ran out of petrol or the local police turned up. It was both thrilling and scary with the odd dog snapping at my ankles and we became sport for the police. Those early days did sharpened our riding instincts: we became expert in mad dog evasion, pothole negotiation and avoiding trees, mostly! But we must have done something right as the dogs got tired and police, often laughing obviously enjoyed the sport. Happy days.
We learned a lot back then, how to ride, how to stay upright, and how to keep a bike running no matter what. We earned a bit of a reputation too, for fast bikes and racing around the streets like the teenagers we were, however eventually the police stopped laughing and started chasing.
Fast forward more than a few decades and years spent building careers by day and bikes by night, we decided it was time to put our passion front and centre. In 2010, we founded JAL Motorcycle Restorations Ltd specialising in classic motorcycle restoration be they classic road bikes or road racers from the early 1900s through to 1989 BC (that'sbefore computors). We offer a one stop shop for classic motorcycle servicing, repair and full restoration, every bike receiving the same high quality expert care and attention.
We are proud to work with like minded motorcyclists who appreciate the beauty, soul and stories behind these classic machines. We can restore your bike to original like new condition or build for you something unique or tailor a motorcycle to your individual style and preferences. Or if patina is your thing we will take a sympathetic approach working carefully to preserve your bikes history.
